Welcome! The BARN Virtual Colloquia was established in 2020 to foster an international, virtual community of scholars and practitioners from all disciplines engaged with the study of music and sound in audio-visual media. Events continue weekly from October-December and January-March each year.

Our first series of events included over 30 presentations from academics based across four continents, in addition to interviews with BAFTA award-winning and Emmy award-nominated composers and sound designers. Our events are supported by the AHRC via the White Rose College of the Arts and Humanities.
